I FEEL STRENGTHENED.

This fortifying cocktail of the wooded hills of the Doubs, parks and gardens boosts my spirits. Accompanied by a light pinch of listed buildings, the effect is beyond compare. It’s impossible for me to list all the ingredients of this magical Town of Art and History, fortified by Vauban, since I discover new elements every day. Franche-Comté’s capital is also the capital of biodiversity and rated as France’s ‘most green city’. Every year she baptises around a hundred new converts: Besançon and its partners organise a welcome day in order to convert them permanently to the very special local way of life. The Besançon treatment really is a prescription for life!
